Big head usually describes the morning after, not the beer that was the cause. So is this another Amber I am going to fall for, or one that is going to leave me high and dry when we are done?  Or will this one just break my heart on the first swig? Only after a tasting will we know for sure.

Nice light amber pour, not as dark as many ambers, and a bit hazy to boot. Not a “bighead” like it’s moniker might suggest, just a bit of a bubbly white froth. Great aroma, amber and ale. A bit like a malty IPA. Interesting, intriguing, enticing, I was into it.

My first swig revealed a nice Amber with a touch of bitter. Not a full bodied amber, not heavy at all. A touch of tang in the finish. A bit hoppier than most ambers. An easy drinking Amber with a light hoppy finish, like a session IPA finish. I savoured this brew, I didn’t want it to end*.

A unique and very enjoyable amber ale.

*Editor’s Comment: That probably applies to most beers you drink.

*Reviewer’s Comment: Also I knew I had to walk the dogs when I was done so there were two reasons I didn’t want it to end.
