Take a swig and come on over the can says, you’re on Island time now the can says. I guess having a drink is the next best thing to taking the swing bridge over to Manitoulin Island, the largest fresh water island in the world! And get this, Treasure Island in Lake Mindemoya, which is in Manitoulin Island, is the largest island in a lake on an island in a lake in the world. Enough to make your head spin like Linda Blair.
Year-round access to the island is available via the one-lane Little Current Swing Bridge, hence the beer name in recognition of the only way to get there on wheels. I think they could have done something to spice up the name. I would have called it “Swig Bridge” or “Truss Me”, or how about “Golden Arches”. But what do I know, I am only the guy who is buying it. The end user. The consumer, literally. Don’t listen to me.
Hand crafted with no preservatives so I guess I have to drink it quickly. No problem there, it is a tasty brew. Nice flavor, crisp and easy drinking. Had mine in a chilled glass in my comfy armchair with the drink holder (my official reviewer’s chair), in front of my big screen TV, with a plate of nachos while watching the Leafs stomp the Canadiens. How could this not be a good review! Good beer, good snack and great game. Sounds like I won the trifecta.
