Well sign me up for the mission to Mars if this constitutes rations in space. It is very hoppy which is to my taste. Labelled as a West Coast IP Kviek – which is the type of yeast they used. Personally, I think it sounds more like the name of some of the equipment found in the networking closet … a new fangled router or firewall .. the IP Kviek. If you like West Coast or New England IPA’s then you will like this one.
Ganaraska is in Port Hope and I haven’t seen this for sale outside the brewery yet, so you may have to take a road trip to find it. If you are passing by – it is well worth the stop. It has a definite West Coast feel, slightly more bitter than the traditional westy. A bit of pine overtones … could be the Juniper they mention in the ingredients.
Aggressively tart, this is a strong, but not over the top IPA. Your mouth will wakeup when you drink this one.
