At the casino in town which is the local hangout for cranky old men and women intent on losing their kid’s inheritance. I actually think there was a counter there for cashing RRSPs. To give you an idea how old the crowd was I felt young there.
So I am sampling a Goose Island IPA on draught. Nice yellow golden pour with a goose down white head. Hoppy, I didn’t notice any fruit or pine just fresh hoppiness. Very much a traditional IPA, refreshing body with a hoppy and middling bitter finish. The bitter was fine, not too much. A good overall basic big brewer IPA. It makes you wonder what this beer was like when Goose Island actually brewed it.*
The blackjack paid for drinks, the slots paid for dinner, **and the Goose was a safe bet.
