Its golf season for 28 NHL teams so I thought a golf themed brew might be just the ticket to commiserate my Leafs early departure from the race for the Stanley Cup. Now they are aiming for the cup rather than playing for it. As far as my own golf game goes I keep track of balls lost versus balls found instead of strokes, and that isn’t a pretty score either.
This brew poured yellow gold with a fluffy sand trap rising to the top, which I was able to get out of with just one swig! A flat malt aroma, not a lot there. The first quaff was a very pleasant surprise, an almost creamy mouthfeel, not stout like but still noticeable. A nice mid-range malt flavour with no bitter or aftertaste. A smooth very easy drinking lager.
On the can they tell us that “a triple bogey has never been this easy to swallow”. I would tend to agree.
