A few years ago me and the missus made a night of it on New Year’s Eve at the local Royal Canadian Legion. It wasn’t exactly a tails and tux affair, which is just the way we like it. Great people, good tunes, good beer at reasonable prices, and no matter how old and cranky you are, you feel young again for a night, although I wasn’t feeling too spry and chipper the next morning.
They say a portion of the proceeds from this beer go to supporting Legions across Canada. Well done Whitewater. Great program.
My sister-in-law happens to be the biggest Harry Potter fan in the world over the age of 12. She has a wand and is an official member of the House of Hufflepuff*. If you were wondering if I am once again digressing, or if this comment has anything to do with beer, or the price of tea in China for that matter, she also just so happens to be a member and strong Legion supporter. Well done, Jane.
You may also be wondering if there is a beer review in here somewhere, fair enough. This brew pours brighter than the lights the morning after new year’s eve at the Legion, with a nice white lamp shade head. A good solid lager, great malt flavour, smooth, no bitter in this batter. More flavour than your big brewery lagers which is what I would expect from a craft brewer. They haven’t tried to do anything fancy here, just a good down to earth beer. Once again, well done Whitewater.
