When you are out fishing a missed call* isn’t really missed, now is it. But I am missin’ my fishin’. Back to reality and my last Stockyards IPA was tasty, so why not make it a double. Reminds me of that old Doublemint gum commercial from the 60’s “Double your pleasure, double your fun” with a pair of pretty twins cavorting and chewing. The underlying not so subliminal sexual reference was obvious, and yet it has remained a mainstream ad campaign since 1959. **
This Stockyards double pours a hazy muted orangish of the apricot persuasion. A nice white wake of a head running over the lake. A fresh hoppy frisky Fresca fruity aroma of a double zing in waiting. Tasting is a nice funky tropical fruit with a bit of fizz, but despite the hoppy nose no zing but very tasty. Full fruit body, mild hoppy finish, no booze. This IPA is doubling as a juicy hazy? As it warmed a bit a touch of boozy made a bow.
A juicy tasty double, no troubles. If you have caller ID and Stockyards pops up, take the call.
