Klondike Clarke

Longslice Brewery

ABV 5.2% Alcohol

Time to pack up the mule and head for the mountains? Back in day, that was the reaction to news of gold in the Klondike. Ironically, what seemed like easy money – just pick the gold out of the stream, turned out to be one of the more difficult ways to earn a living. Out of 100,000 folks rushing to the Klondike, only a few hundred actually made good money and few of those kept it for long. I guess the folks at Longslice Brewery were doing there own search for the mother lode when they came up with this brew? Maybe there’s more to the story. After all, they call this brew “Klondike Clarke” and I have no clue what Clarke has to do with it.

This lagered ale is crisp and refreshing and would be happily included in any explorers kit – unless of course you have to lug it over one of the mountain passes. Much better to drink it and ponder the various routes that could be used to get to the Klondike. There is enough bitterness here to give you a nice thirst-quenching brew. You can safely stock this one up in your summer exploration cooler.

A simple, but very tasty summer brew.

Final Rating: A decent prospect at 14 out of 20.
