Weathering the Storm Quite Nicely

KEETS

Storm Stayed Brewing Co.

4.8% Alcohol

Old Johny Keats could rhyme you right round the bend and back and win that girl for you while he was at it. But what the hell is a KEETS?  Storm Stayed has us in a fog over this one. But when it comes to beer tasting, what’s in the can is more important than what’s on the can, so this mystery will remain unresolved, unless our Editor can shine some light on this one.*

The other evening we stayed the storm with a Scottish Ale, but last night it was a mild weather American Lager, what Storm Stayed call “an all occasion beer”.***

This beer of the month club offering pours pale, daylight vampire pale. As pale as Casper, let’s hope as friendly too. An aroma of beer, nothing fancy, mild malt. A good mild malt flavour and a sweet and slightly bitter ale like finish. The bitters of ale curtailed a bit, and now it’s a smooth operator.  Nice malt flavour and a smooth mouthfeel with just a hint of bitters on the end of that crisp finish.

*Editor’s Comment: A “keet” is the name for a young guinea fowl although a baby bird seems to be almost as irrelevant as most of your reviews. The romantic poet Keats’ most famous poem is “Ode to a Nightingale”, although a baby nightingale is simple a “chick”, not a “keet”, although it would have been quite the coincidence if it was a “keet”.**

**Reviewer’s Comment: Who’s irrelevant now.

***Editor’s Comment: I think that’s what you call all beers.
