Sure looks like a Corona copy to me. From the Cool (not Coors) Beer company. Out of Mimico, I kid you not.* They even instruct you to “add a twist of lime” on the bottle. What’s different is this is a light beer as in both quantity light and ABV light. There is nothing extra about the Corona Extra standard bottle which short-changes us at 330ml and weighs in at 4.6% but this skinny ass Stonewall bottle comes in at only 275ml and 4%.*
Here is a math question for the kids. If RA drinks two European sized (500ml) Double IPAs at 8% ABV, how many skinny ass Stonewall light bottles would I need to crush to catch up? The answer is 7.27 Stonewall Lights, a six pack plus! I know, I’m supposed to show my work for extra marks, but luckily today I’m doing the grading.
Out of the bottle, no pour report, or a poor pour report, which ever you prefer. Aroma of…. lime of course since there is a lime sticking out of the skinny ass bottle neck. Tastes like…. a corona, I mean exactly like one. Let’s see, a touch more malt maybe, a bit lighter maybe, a tad hoppier maybe? Nope, it’s a Corona alright.
The look, the lime, the taste. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery***, then Corona must be red faced embarrassed by this over-the-top compliment, or red face angry over this blatant copy.
I mean it’s good beer, very easy drinking and refreshing, like a Corona.
