As far as I’m concerned, I couldn’t care less if it’s 5 o’clock anywhere. I’m at the cottage, it’s hot, I’m thirsty and retired. Sounds like it’s time to try on some Party Shorts for size. A session IPA is in session. From my last sampling of an ass kicking heavy duty extra tall double to this light and bright hazy session cruise in the park shorty. A tale of two Muskoka cities, the dickens you say.*
Sawdust City’s summer session suds is a hazy juicy sporty shorty. It pours brick thick and super solid hazy. Grapefruit scent among the pines. And the taste? Grapefruit juice, that’s it that’s all, not even ruby red but the bitter yellow kind. But it’s a refreshing bitter, not a bickering bitchy bitter. Back to chemistry class and a salty snack to the rescue, captain cashew and the almond avengers can make even the most brazen bitters bearable. Salt or no salt, as is often the case in such situations the bitterness abated over time leaving a hot days haze citrus juicer, easy drinking and refreshing. It is a hot Muskoka afternoon, but this hoppy little shorty had no time to get warm.
And then there was none. Wish I had a pair of party shorts.
