The Shadow Knows
What evil lurks in the hearts of men, the Shadow knows.* The mind reader that slapped David Wilcox knows too. ** And they both know beyond a shadow of a doubt. But how about this light, what kind of a shadow will it throw? Another 5 o’clock shadow perhaps? Enough shadow boxing here, we have a Sawdust City light pale ale to review.
First off, what a great brew pic eh! ***Shadowy. A light citrusy yellow golden pour, with a bright white head rising above the shadows. A bit of hops in the aroma with the aforementioned citrusness. Bitters in waiting? The taste is a nice citrus fruit over the fizz with some very mild bitter crisp. Tasty, refreshing and balanced. Some carbonation involved and It’s all working. The fresh citrus and fizz combines for a good flavour that doesn’t come off as a light beer at all. Small swig, big swig it’s all good. This brew is ready and able, as in crush-able.
A great beer, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
