Maybe it’s only a coincidence, but I wonder if they know that there is a real Bruno Mars, and he looks a bit like the picture on the can. Mars is so chill and cool he’s out of this world. Maybe this chill craft from Mascot is as chill, as smooth, as cool, as good as Peter Gene Hernandez aka Bruno Mars.* One can hope.
Some downtown TO pouring some uptown funk. A pour as amber as I could ever hope for, with an offwhite head. I’m parked in the comfy chair humming the lazy song and sampling this Märzen. It sure smells good, lager malt and subtle caramel sweet. It has a watery mouthfeel with a mild malt bread caramel body which fades at the finish. The watery mouthfeel with the backend fade makes for some laid back easy beer drinkin’. Not as light as their lightweight, but it’s an amber light weight made to hydrate.
Big swig time. Mission accomplished. The verdict is in, Bruno Mars has big swagger, and Bruno Märzen is a big swigger.
I may be old and crazy, but straight up and down, there’s no liquor store blues here Bruno, just a chill craft amber German lager that is as refreshing as it is flavourful. And that’s what I like.
