Maintaining the space shuttle may not be rocket science but I think they use quantum mechanics. And I did see the movie “Quantum of Solace” but I didn’t care for it in the least.* But this is no space craft were dealing with here, but Silversmith’s Quantum Coast craft IPA.
Silversmith** is one of our favourites, a church-based brewer that we praise regularly. I mean if they have a direct line to a higher being I think it’s important for us to stay in their good books. But let’s be clear, any super suds status they achieve will be won the old fashion way, they’ll earn it.
This brew pours a dark orange golden haze with a reddish aura, with a fitting foam head affixed. A very juicy tropical citrus aroma. The taste is lotsa juice, lotsa bitters both big and both balanced. Tropical juice with a big ol’ West Coast pine tree felled and squeezed into this piney pint. Many quantums of juice and pine. Both settling down a bit but the backend pine hangs in there. A juicy hoppy West coast toast taste treat that’s hard to beat.
