Getting ready for the hockey game with a cool Pilsner from Manitoulin Island Brewing. It’s the big island in Lake Huron – almost 50 km in length with small lakes within it. A kind of recursive lake thing going on. This beer is called Ten Mile Point * which is maybe a unique feature for folks living on the island – but honestly, the entire island looks like one big point on the map.

Plenty of points to choose from here.
Enough about the label, let’s get to the beer. It’s a great pour, a vibrant yellow with a good head which makes for a very promising start. A smooth drinking pilsner with a malty, caramel flavour.
There was a slight bitter after taste that will spark your curiosity and at 4.5% ABV you can try another without stumbling.
This makes for a decent summer time brew that will quench your thirst and quiet your soul. Pairs well with hockey, it won’t give you that over-stuffed feeling.
It also has the great nature theme going on the can which will make you look trendy and is perhaps the whole ten point.
* Editor’s Comment: Not to be confused with Sittler’s 10 Point game, something the Leafs could have used last night.
