Finally, after all these full of shit lying lagers, an Honest one. Of course, if the marketing mavens have named this beer “honest” even Alanis Morissette would call that ironic.* Let’s hope the brew master named this one.
Just to be clear, all our COMDB reviews are honest and unsolicited. Also, just to be very clear, that doesn’t mean we don’t accept donations to the cause. Free beer can put a cranky old beer reviewer in a positive state of mind, but won’t change our final rating that much. Time for an unsolicited brew review.
A clear golden pour with a down to earth nice slim foamy head on top. A malt aroma with a touch of apple pear on the nose. The first pull is malt body with bitters and a dry crisp follow (more dry than crisp) and a dry mouth aftertaste. Tasty. This brew is designed for Oktoberfest size swigs and therefore destined to the big swig test. And in true Oktoberfest fashion it passes, Prosit flag flying high. Great malt body, clean crisp and easy drinking, honestly.
Walkerville tell us this is one “clean, crisp, and easy drinking with a balanced bitterness” Oktoberfest style lager and they ain’t lyin’.
