According to JT, this is a must see destination when in Budapest.
Editor’s Comment: When we got a postcard “Wish you were beer” we knew our intrepid international man of mystery, JT, was on the road again. This trip finds him in Budapest, Hungary. Budapest has a myriad of must see spots including the stunning architecture of the Fisherman’s Bastion, or the grandeur of St. Peter’s Basilica. A romantic cruise on the Danube or a stroll over the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. I wonder which of these must do before you die destinations he went to first? If you guessed the Beer Brothers Craft Beer Bar you would be correct.
Finding some of the tourist spots in Hungary. Grabbed a Borsodi.* Pretty decent beer. Nice bitterness, smooth with a clean finish. A solid 14.
COMDB Translation Department. Happy to translate for JT. Borsodi’s slogan as seen on the glass is, “Az élet habos oldala” in English “The frothy side of life”
*Editor’s Comment: Borsodi is the most popular beer in Hungary. The local brewery began in 1969 and after the fall of communism in the country it was privatized and purchased by InBev which became Anheuser Busch InBev. In 2009 StarBev bought out all of Anheuser Busch holdings in Central Europe. In 2012 the Star Bev group was bought by Molson Coors.
RS Comment: You mean JT went all the way to Budapest to have a Molson?
