A Sunny Disposition

Sunsplit

Dominion City Brewing Co.

6.5% Alcohol

Although I rarely have what anyone would call a sunny disposition, this bright yellow Sunsplit in my beer fridge caught my eye. It seemed to be a much more accurate indicator of an early spring than any large hibernating rodent ever was.  So here comes the sun, but will it be sunshine superman suds or a black hole sun.  Time lo let the sunshine in. *

This Dominion City stalwart has a bright sunny hazy pour, picture perfect with a fulsome foamy froth. It sports a super juicy aroma of tropical citrus candy. This sunshine sampling  starts out with a full flavoured tropical sweet juicy body and very mild grapefruit bitters on the finish. A classic and classy juicer. The initial slick mouthfeel turned soft and foamy as the flavours became a bit milder all round and the oats came into play.

This Split decision was unanimous; this one is super suds.

*Editor’s Comment: Here Comes the Sun is an upbeat Beatles song written by George Harrison from their 1969 album Abbey Road. Sunshine Superman was a 1966 hit song written and performed by Donovan (Donovan Phillips Leitch). Soundgarden’s depressing signature song, Black Hole Sun, was a 1994 release written by Chris Cornell and a number one hit for the group. The medley Aquarius/Let the Sunshine in was a 1969 number 1 hit for The 5th Dimension and combines two songs written for the 1967 rock musical Hair.
