Live from Vancouver, back by popular demand, hailed by some as the highlight of the whole event, it’s another edition of the unofficial butt sanctioned CIM conference wrap & tap review. * Each of us held our Destiny in our hands as we settled into some serious suds sampling. The show was often off the rails, unfocused, and apt to digression, but the wise words of the CIM CEO kept us in some semblance of sensibleness.
As far as the beer sampling goes, if you thought Fuggles were French people without wizarding powers you are definitely a JK Rowling fan, and definitely wrong. ** From Richmond BC, the Fuggles brew team is the maker of our Destiny today, the West Coast industrial strength IPA that kept us on our toes and in our cups. ***
Jerrod had his traditional four finger foam fiasco for a heady toast from our ever-ready host, batteries not included. Rory had some struggles with his Fuggles too. Angela poured like a pro, and I must admit, in my humble opinion my pour was nothing short of pour-fecto.
A muted golden shade, it actually looked dank. The first quaff definitely introduced us to a hoppy juicer with those West Coast pines standing tall and strong. No surprises there, a strong ABV and it’s an IBU 62 brew too. The nice citrus tropical juice start moved into a very hoppy body but there is enough malt there to mellow out the bitters for a bit for a funky finish. Nice sequence, well balanced, full mouthfeel, very refreshing.
This is a CIM CEO approved and COMDB super suds sanctioned IPA lover’s IPA.

Thanks for choosing an IPA —my favourite! It was a nice refreshing mid-afternoon treat in the midst of a busy day. I’d give it a solid 8! Always great fun to get together with you all!
Glad you enjoyed it. Happy CEO, better chance of a raise we always say. Although Rory sometimes struggles with the math, we are right in synch with your 8 out of 10 with our 16 out of 20.
