An afternoon BBQ is probably the best excuse for some daytime drinkin’ but a site visit to the fine folks at Fine Balance is a close second. I was looking to cut loose with the juice and their Junction looked like just the ticket. A collab brew with la Belle Province Brasserie Bad Bones, a bilingual alliteration in waiting.
A thick and juicy tap pour, substantial, pineapple orange yellow with a creamy white froth up to but not over the top, a foamy tome, a tale to tell. A tropical juicy aroma with a hoppy nose to boot. First quaff is creamy tropical juicy grapefruit bitters all coming together and … you guessed it, finely balanced. The big swig test results in a big top balancing act and FB pulls it off in spades, and any other suit you care to deal with.
I really enjoyed this thick and juicy fruit and bitters forward IPA. no light lemonade or session stuff here, maximum flavour meets minimum shyness, and the result is an IPA lovers IPA.
