A super sunset for me is a line in the lake at last light, wettin’ the net and haulin’ in a fat bass-tard on the hook line and sinker. But it’s water on the lake and beer on the pier, so when I come in off the lake I’m dry docked and in need of some post angling hydration.
He doesn’t look like a bird or a plane to me.
I appreciate an already assembled alliteration with Slake’s Super Sunset suds. But is it really super? Is this beer faster than a speeding bullet or able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Is this “pale” ale more powerful than a locomotive? * Time for a pour and score to validate or contest this presumptuous moniker.
A sunny disposition this one, bubbly golden, with a frothy head of foam. It has an aroma of citrusy hoppy, smells summery. First taste is fizzy forward with watery citrus and heavy grapefruit bitters, not balanced but so far so good. Will an evolution vault this so called super brew to super suds status?
The fizz fades as fizzes are fond of doing, the juice steps up its game and the bitters back off a bit and all of a sudden it’s a soft mouthfeel balanced juicy pale. Tasty, refreshing, dare I say super? I dare.
