This Minivan is going like a bat out of hell. Tires squealin’ and peelin’, corners two wheelin’. Is it the terrorists’ Minivan from “Back to the Future” at the Twin Pines Mall, or was it the Lone Pine Mall?* Maybe it’s a brazen daylight armed bank robbery getaway van in a highspeed chase? Or paramedics (yes two of them) on route to save a life, or lives (yes two of them)? Nope, none of the above. It’s just a poor stressed out Father trying to get the girls to ballet lessons on time, that dance instructor can be a real bear if your even 1 minute late.
The aforementioned Minivan also happens to be a not at all kitschy Kame & Kettle Kölsch. A Poppy’s tankard full of a deep golden glowing pour of a pint. Thin head gone immediately post pour. A mild malt aroma, it’s in there somewhere. The taste is smooth malt lager sweet which evolves into a very flat crisp dry finish, close to harsh but not quite. Not quite a Pilsner finish, but it’s Kölsch. A great combination of malt smooth and sweet with a country Kölsch kick in the caboose. A smooth and steady body with a thirst quencher of a finish. Nice.
This was my wing can for the Leaf’s win tonight so hard not to get a good review, but this brew got its super suds status the old fashion way, it earned it.
