Maybe Okoberfest and baseball season are both over, but that doesn’t stop us from sampling a Left Field Festbier, now does it. And so, the festing continues. As for baseball, anyone around in the 70’s knows that Mr. October is none other than Reggie Jackson, who was World Seies MVP with both the Oakland A’s and the Yankees in that decade. But with the Rangers winning this year on November 1st, should we be calling Corey Seager Mr. November?* Maybe Pierce Brosnan will object? **

The Department of Morality had a sip to start off this tasting and voiced her disapproval and displeasure with what she described as “too much fruit” and “too beery”. Since her go to (and the only beer she will drink) is a Sleeman’s Clear, it was a wasted swig as far as I was concerned and didn’t impact my review in any way, shape or form.
Speaking of reviews, this brew had a light golden summery clear pour, with a wild white November frost. Mild malt and fruit on the nose. Pour and aroma a study in contrasts. I decided to swig for the fences and caught some of what the missus picked up, a crisp malt and apple combo, very mild bitters to accentuate the crisp, very refreshing. As crisp as a 102 mph fastball hitting the glove. Crispiness start to finish with no evolution, devolution, or resolution at the fruition. Approaching a pilsner in some respects. A great crispy ball park fester.
