A naughty neighbor for me is the guy up the street who lets his dog crap on my yard but doesn’t stoop and scoop. But I guess NB’s reference here is to the most powerful nation in the world, yes it is the good ol’ USA*. I am not sure what the USA did to get the moniker naughty, it could be a myriad of things, I suppose.
I hadn’t had one of these in a while and it was great to revisit this bright crushable pale ale. Their American Style Pale Ale reminds me of the recent trendy session IPAs, a lower ABV than traditional IPAs but still much of the crispness. Naughty Neighbour has a bold IPA like zing to it (citrus and pine so they say) and a bit of bitter but not a hop fest, more of a dry zing. The can advises us to “Stay reckless, be brave” which is good advice when sampling new beers, but bad advice when out on the motorcycle, and very bad advice if you are sampling new beers while on the motorcycle, so context is important. One of the reasons we are old is that we don’t sample brews while riding our motorcycles..
Crisp and refreshing, good flavour not overpowering, an easy drinking pale ale that I quite enjoyed.
