Farm re-Fresh

Fiddle & Field

Quayle's Brewery

5.6% Alcohol

I was talking to Farmer Steve the other day and he thinks agriculture is a real growth industry. I told him I thought that was a home groan.*

This small can brew pours golden with a nice bubbly thin white head. It has a fresh slightly hoppy aroma. First swig had nice mild fruit with some fizz but not hoppy, an easy going finish. The fizz started to disappear being replaced by some hops, still not much bitters.  Nice flavour and as I got into it, it got a little more tart in the finish, then some fruit in the finish. It almost seemed like it was evolving with every quaff, which means it was evolving quickly because it is a nice easy drinking pale ale. It is crisp, as crisp as my bacon in the morning, and that is always crisp.

Quayle’s tell us that this brew is “a true farm to glass experience.”  Farm fresh they say.  Farm fresh and refreshing I say.

*Editor’s Comment. Two in a row is two too many. Mercy. No more punny but not funny old man jokes please.

*Reviewer's Comment: You wouldn't know funny if it bit you on the ass.

** Editor’s Comment: Quayle’s hales from Oro-Medonte, a township along the north-west shore of Lake Simcoe between Orillia and Barrie. It is a true farming community and home of the Olympic gold medalist curler Jennifer Jones.
