Dark dark pour with a nice tan and white head. They advertise robust coffee with chocolate notes but my first sniff was the other way around. A definite roasted chocolate aroma but I didn’t notice the coffee. Regardless of the order, the mix works well. First swig the chocolate and coffee comes on a bit strong as in roasted, a bit aggressive but not bitter. It makes you stand up (figuratively of course because I wasn’t about to get up out of my comfy chair for anything other than a second beer) and take notice.
Nice flavour, strong at times but not bitter, great mouthfeel, smooth and a relatively easy drinking stout. Very nice experience from start to finish. Stout lovers will love it. I know I did.
