MC Hammer, can’t touch this.

MC Hammer was a chill MC with those baggy pants and more moves than a chess master.* Mike Hammer was a hot headed, hard boiled, hard hitting, and  hard living private eye.** This brew is so cool it’s a Frost Hammer, a double dose of IPA chill and swill. It’s also a heavy hitter at 8.2% and finds itself at the other end of the scale from Mascot’s super suds light lager, aptly named Lightweight.

Mike Hammer, better not touch this

A hazy muted orange pour, with a bright white frosty hammer head. An aroma that’s super tropical juicy, mango, stone fruit? The word intense comes to mind. And intense it is, kickass juicy with a tingle to go with the double back bitters.  It seems counterintuitive, *** but a big swig smooths it all out a bit, but with level of intensity I would guess big swigging is not sustainable.

I guessed correctly and it’s back to normal quaffs after a second big swig put the hammer down.

Everything a double should be and more, sometimes much more. Especially brewed for double IPA lovers.

*Editor’s Comment: Stanley Kirk Burrel (MC Hammer) became famous with his Hammer time (1990’s U Can’t Touch This) number one hit and his baggy hammer pants but he wasn’t a one-hit wonder. He had a number of top ten hits and sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. At the height of his popularity he had a net worth of $70 Million but his lavish spending habits sent him into bankruptcy in the mid 90s.

**Editor’s Comment: Mike Hammer was the literary creation of Mickey Spillane and embodied the pulp detective genre, but more violent than his fast-talking contemporaries like Sam Spade or Philip Marlowe. He was more than willing to kill a killer whenever the opportunity arose.

***Editor’s Comment: You using big words like counterintuitive and spelling them correctly seems counterintuitive.
