Holy Trinity and an Immaculate Misconception

Holy Trinity

Rouge River Brewing Co.

6.8% Alcohol

As a kid I heard the old man say “Jesus, Mary and Joseph” so often I thought they were the Holy Trinity. The Department of Morality cleared up that little immaculate misconception for me. But Rouge River is talking about a hoppy holy trinity of Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic to super juice their flagship IPA. Let’s see if this holy trio of hops creates a religious experience worthy of our worship.

A peachy golden tinge of a pour with bright white fulsome foamy froth on top. A beauty, worthy of the COMDB Hall of Foam. Tropical juicy and dank hoppy on the nose is how it goes. The taste is a stone fruit salad juicy body with a hoppy bitter pine chaser. Balanced and tasty. As it warms a bit the juice becomes more pronounced with a dankness and a flat slightly hoppy bitter on the finish. No aftertaste or maybe there wasn’t enough time between swigs for one?

This is a good classic hazy IPA with lots going on. Not as dank and dangerous as their tasty Dankzilla double but it is a bit complex with a mix of hops that create juice of stone, citrus and tropical combined. It maintains its balance, a feat that becomes more challenging with age, or after a few 6.8 percenters.
