Plan A is history. Toast. The inedible kind that is too burnt to rescue with peanut butter. The Leafs are on their way to the links, licking their wounds and practicing their putts and pitches. Plan B is now the new Plan A, but the Oilers are on the brink of elimination, shaky at best.

Plan C, our beloved Blue Jays, according to one of the hundreds of online bookies, have +1300 odds to win the World Series. For those of you without disposable income to partake in a parlay, that means two things. Firstly, it means if you bet $100 and they win you will get $1300 back, nice. It also means that they are massive underdogs and the chances of them winning it all are the aforementioned slim and none. Odds being things that don’t come out even, you usually don’t even come out with the shirt on your back, if you bet it.

But the bright side is it is Bar-BQ season which means swilling and grilling, and us COM yearn to burn. So the meat is on the heat and now flame is the name of the game. The Department of Morality accepts no miss-steaks so I am on fire watch while I sample a frosty adult beverage.

A clear the zone clear (something the Leafs could have done a bit more of) with a light white head and bubbles. Aroma of light malt, that’s it and that’s all. Lake of Bays tell us to taste the great outdoors in their beers, but what I got was light malt and fruit, a touch of apple, and a crisp dry slightly bitter on the finish.  Bubbly but not really fizzy, the bitters and crisp backed off, leaving a light easy drinking good flavoured brew. The first pour was clear, but the second was a sedimental journey, looks like this brew is as unfiltered as my reviews.  Not timid and certainly not intimidating. It had no staying power, as it didn’t stay in my glass long. Crushable.
