Just stopped by to see what’s brewing.
I dropped by the Clifford Brewery last week and saw a Porter Nitro on the shelf and I said to myself I’ve got to get me some of that, and myself and I were in total agreement on this, so I did. Do you know what makes a great beer even better? I’ve got two words for you. Nitro baby.
Sorry Deadpool, Nitro* is my new anti-hero after this tasting. Clifford’s original Porter was a super suds stud to start with, hale and hearty and ready to party. Now you shake the can, rattle the widget and roll the pour and this Nitro fuel injected porter really takes off.
The pour evolution only heightens the anticipation for this pretty porter pour. A creamy porter nose, roast malt coffee cocoa all mild through the foamy froth. As expected, creamy, dreamy and very tasty. Classic malt coffee cocoa with a great creamy mouthfeel. There is a subtle sweetness there that sets it apart from a Guinness. Just like their original Porter, this brew is in total balance with all the pieces fitting into place. I really enjoyed this one. So good.
