As I poured this Czech Tap Lager I found myself reminiscing about afternoons or evenings (sometimes the afternoons magically morphed into evenings) at the Tap Room, trays of cold draft in those small pilsner glasses. If you had a thirst on you would only pick that glass up once, because that draft was sooo easy drinking. I don’t recall much about the flavour, probably because there wasn’t much, but in those days we were drinking more for effect than aesthetics, if you know what I mean.
This brew pours see through clear with a light golden hue with a bit of frosting on top. Nice mild malt aroma. And a nice mild malt taste to go with it, coupled with a crisp clean finish. Very easy drinking with a nice flavour. I was BBQing the chicken and my beer was done before the meat was even seared let alone burnt. With this easy drinking a brew I will have to recalibrate my beer to BBQ burn factor, as referenced in “The COMDB Guide to the Fine Art of BBQing ” item 2.
Easy drinking, refreshing and with a nice flavour as well. Very enjoyable.
