Putting a Northwest to the Test

Hard Day IPA

Red Truck Beer

6.3% Alcohol

So here I am in Vancouver, the Northwest for those South East of the city, and sipping suds. Brew number six in our Vancouver tour de force. And just like the Beatles, I was looking at a Hard Day’s Night.* But what better cure for a hard day than an open bar I always say.** How about red truckin’  with a Hard Day IPA, by the bay. A Northwest IPA no less, from the Northwest, could be the best, let’s put it to the test. Rhyming tires me out, beer me.***

A clear golden pour with a full head of steam. The aroma of a full 5 hop sky high IBU pine bough slap brew. But sometimes the nose only knows what the nose knows, don’t you know. It turns out the taste is a light bubbly easy drinking IPA. A bit of hops and a bit of citrus, all well balanced, and refreshing. A full hoppy aroma leads into a very accessible IPA.

I expected a hop fest but what we get is an easy drinking aromatic and enjoyable, well-balanced NW IPA.

*Editor’s Comment: A Hard Day’s Night is a song from the Beatles 1964 album ”A Hard Day’s Night” and the movie of the same name. The song is credited to Lennon & McCartney and primarily written by John Lennon. It was a number 1 hit in Canada, the US and the UK as well as many other countries.

**Editor’s Comment: I’ve never heard you say that.

***Editor’s Comment: I would agree, your rhyming is very tiring.
