The Stones had a gem of a Tuesday while the Moody Blues enjoyed the afternoon. Lynrd Skynrd woke up Wednesday morning and Tuesday was gone. Just like the Boomtown Rats, I don’t like Mondays, so I was drinking this Tuesday on a Sunday hoping to skip a day. But here I am writing this review and it’s just another manic Monday.

A Burdock Tuesday is in Saison. Saisons can be earthy, spicy, complex, off-putting or tasty and I am never sure just what to expect. This one has a very plain Jane and John label, the only descriptor on the can is “real nice beer”. One can hope.

A pale orange fields of gold hazy pour with a nights in white satin head. A fresh spicy aroma, some fruit on the nose but not citrus, more like apple. A fizzy, mild fruit flavour, once again apples, not a spice saison. Quite tasty and very bubbly. Almost like a brut IPA.  A nice light refreshing and tasty saison. It reminded me of a session IPA. A pleasant surprise. Maybe I don’t like Mondays but I am fond of this Tuesday.

*Editor’s Comment: “The Tuesday Night Music Club” is the title of Sheryl Crow’s debut album released in 1993. Crow was a music teacher at an Elementary School in Fenton and while teaching recorded some jingles and ads including one for McDonalds. She turned professional and toured as a back- up vocalist for Michael Jackson on his “Bad” tour from 1987 to 89, as well as doing studio vocals for a number of artists before going solo and hitting the big time in 93.
