Hoppy, smooth, convenient. Convenient? This how the third of our Four Peaks is described. I like the visual word play in the beer name, HAZY, bolding the AZ paying tribute to Arizona.* But out of 4800 adjectives available in the English language, not including comparative or superlative forms, they use convenient. Convenient? Handy or at hand. Easy to get to, not far out of my way and nearby. In a can with a pop top. Already cold, unremote, well suited, opportune and timely, practical and fitting. An undescriptive descriptor I would say.
In these reviews I have used confusing, concerning, concentrated, consuming, contradictory, conditional, contested, condensed, connection, conflagration, conviction, and consternation, but to the best of my recollection I’ve never used convenient to describe a beer.**
This handy brew is not actually hazy but pours a light golden peachy clear with a well suited bubbly white head at hand. Very mild stone fruit and hops aroma, subdued as in almost not there. First taste and what stands out is it’s watery disposition. Minimal flavour, mild stone fruit and a half a hop. A flavour shy IPA. Their Hop Knot was hoptastic, this one is the hopposite. Like brothers from another mother. It is easy peasy drinking, and refreshing. Some fruit made an appearance part way through the quaff but the hops stayed clear as the pour.
Not a kick out the jams IPA, mild and refreshing. And it was front and center in the fridge, so I guess it was convenient.
