A Down Under review seems like the right time to give a shout out to my roo wrestlin’ mate from the land of Aus, Barry the Bard, from your seal hugging mate in the great white North. Hope that MAP (Marsupial Accident Prevention) safety plan is working for you down there.
I am at a loss as to what this Side Launch brew from Collingwood has to do with the land down under?* Kangaroo boxing with a kick, hops, there must be something there. But I didn’t pontificate on this for long. I got down to business and tipped that can upside down to read the label, while conveniently pouring it into my glass at the same time. Multi-flasking.**
A bright citrusy looking pour with a bit of froth to blow off. Fresh fruit hoppy aroma, nice. First swig rendered citrus fruit with sharp bitters part way through and on the finish, with a tasty tropical fruit aftertaste. Has a kangaroo kick to it for sure. Grapefruit/citrus bitters are on the verge of boozy but never quite cross the line which is just the way I like it. Refreshing with a kick, strong but not boozy, bitters front and center with a nice tropical fruit finish.
A very approachable high ABV DIPA.

As marketing tool You should have the can open from the bottom so when drink it label upside down also inform drinkers to swirl the can to the right just before drinking to release some of the carbonation. Always love your beer.
