How many ducks is too many ducks? One Duck was just ducky. Two Ducks was too. But are Three Ducks too many ducks? Three Ducks isn’t two too many because Two Ducks wasn’t one too many, but Three Ducks could well be one too many. Don’t get me started on four ducks, that’s flock talk. *
Tasting time for one triple on the double. The third entrant into the Burdock duck dynasty, not of the rich redneck Roberston ilk, but of the IPA persuasion. ** A 10% ABV makes this one wild fowl.
A solid pour, light orange with a creamsicle head. It really is a pretty pour. Wow, no smelling salts required here, that’s one super juicer aroma, not hopical, just tropical, mainly mango. First swig is a high-octane tropical juicer with full on grapefruit bitters. It isn’t really boozy despite its high flying ABV. The juice and bitters are almost off the charts. No big swigs this evening. Ok maybe one, later. As I settled into this one it settled down a bit but have no doubt, this is a every bit a triple. Not easy drinking but tasty.
How about that big swig test, you’re wondering. The fact that I’m writing this review attests to my survival of that test. But I wouldn’t recommend more than one big swig, or even one come to think of it.
Big time juice, big time bitters, start to finish and in balance. If triples are your thing then this Duck might be what you’ve been hunting for.
