The Editor is fully aware how I adore an alliteration, so he wasn’t at all surprised that I had a bite and brew at the Bath based Beachside BBQ bistro. It also isn’t surprising that a place called Beachside has a Beachside Vibe, so I ordered one. A light bright lager on a frosty cold day to bring back some Picton sand dunes memories. What happens on the dunes stays on the dunes I always say. *
A golden beach sand pour with a bright white surfs up topper. A pretty pint, some would say a pro pour. Lager malt aroma, time to wade into this one. A full malt flavour with a mild lager sweet and a smooth finish. It’s more full flavoured than your typical light. A bit of ale bitters showed up on the finish but smoothed out again. An ideal lunch time lager.
Wouldn’t it be nice if I was on the beach under the warmth of the sun picking up some good vibrations from this Beachside Vibe. But enough California dreamin’, God only knows that the next best thing on this freezing cold day is quaffing a daytime draft at Beachside BBQ. **
