Storm Warning!

Snowstorm

Quayle's Brewery

9% Alcohol

Winter Storm Warning in Effect: For residents of Intense City. There’s a Sou’easter coming in from the Northwest that’s bringing with it more snow than a Studio 54 party. * We suggest you hunker down and drink up and before you try to dig out stay in with a nice Ice PA. Preferably of the high ABV variety with big bold flavour to match the intensity of the storm.

Sounds like a good time for a Snowstorm, said no one, ever, unless they were referring to Quayle’s high intensity Ice PA. And let me tell you, if you quaff this 9 percenter before digging out you probably won’t be doing any shoveling until the next morning.

Looks like OJ, thick and juicy, with about as much head as orange juice too, as in none. The aroma is citrus tropical and big-time hops. Strong. The first quaff is thick and citrus stone fruit tropical juicy to hoppy with a strong hoppy bitter grapefruit finish. Lotsa pulp mouthfeel. The juice and bitters are almost overwhelming. It’s a full citrus assault on the senses. Intense with a capital tense.

They warned us a storm was coming and they weren’t lyin’.

*Editor’s Comment: Studio 54 in New York City during its heyday from 1977 to 1980 was known for rampant and overt cocaine use. Cocaine was so common at the club that it was nicknamed Disco Dust and fueled many all-night celebrity parties.

Final Rating: Storming in at a 14 out of 20
