A Hazy Sequel (Brew Mule Rules)

Hazecraft

Great Lakes Brewing Co.

Rhymin’ Simon was keeping warm through a hazy shade of winter, while Nat King Cole was having some lazy hazy crazy summer days. Not to be outdone, Tori was in a spring induced haze.* Me, I’m hopping on board a Hazecraft which will hopefully lead to an out of this world tasting.

From Great Lakes Brewing, not to be confused with Great Lakes Brewery (although I did). Right out of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, USA. This Monday night special was ski trip contraband smuggled across the border from the most powerful nation in the world. The brew mule delivers the goods.

An OJ bright hazy pour with a bright white head, launch ready. Time for a quaff countdown. Wow that’s a juicy smellin’ brew, and we have lift off. The taste is juicy fizzy with a mild funky hoppy finish, a tasty treat.  OJ colour, aroma and taste, a juicy hazy easy mild backend bitters brew. The funky has evolved into a straight up brisk grapefruit bitter.

A juicy easy drinking IPA, citrus incorporated. It’s just a haze I am going through.

*Editor’s Comment: “A Hazy Shade of Winter” by Paul Simon, recorded by Simon and Garfunkel 1968. “Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer” written by Hans Cartse, recorded by Nat King Cole 1963. “Spring Haze” written and recorded by Tori Amos 1999.
