Lincoln Lager? Not sure where the name came from* so I thought I would check as to whether Abraham Lincoln ever drank beer. According to an absolutely dependable and unimpeachable information source (Google) “Lincoln did for a time drink lager beer on the advice of a physician, but wasn’t one to drink for pleasure.” That is the type of doctor I need advising me, although if Lincoln wasn’t drinking for pleasure maybe he was drinking the wrong lager. But that probably doesn’t explain the name.
In the automobile world a Lincoln is associated with luxury. A Lincoln luxury lager perhaps? We need to do a tasting to determine just how “luxurious” a taste this beer has.
According to Shakespeare, the name doesn’t really make a difference, does it? So how does it taste? It tastes great. I wouldn’t call it luxurious, just a good solid lager with a lot of flavour at 4.4%. Good beer.
