A Stroll Down Magnolia Lane

Magnolia Lane

Indie Alehouse Brewing Co.

6.2% Alcohol

Flower power, the rallying cry of hippies everywhere in the 60’s. A floral fixation perhaps? It won’t be long until all those hippies are pushing up daisies. Meanwhile the only advice we boomers have for the whining wet behind the ears Gen Z’s is “suck it up buttercup”.

Indie Alehouse has us taking a stroll down Magnolia Lane. * As far as flowers go, I couldn’t tell you a magnolia from a marigold from a morning glory. Well, that’s not quite true, a hop is a flower and I have become acquainted with a few of those over the years. A floral arrangement for me is usually a less than desirable tasting attribute of a most likely not super suds brew. Now this brew is double hopped, does that make it a bouquet?

An orange hazy pour with a bright white garland topside. This particular bouquet is citrus juice and malt, for a bit of a subdued juicer. It starts out with a pillowy mouthfeel and citrus juicy with the double dry hops joining in on the double. It has a bit of a tang on the finish with a hoppy kick to it but it’s not really boozy. Big swig test and it’s a big swig smoothie! The juicy and the hops are all mellow and mellowing. It seems to get juicier as you go. Very tasty.

Hey all you citrus Juicy IPA lovers, have I got a brew for you!

*Editor’s Comment: There are many Magnolia Lane references but perhaps the most famous is the iconic tree lined driveway leading to the clubhouse of the Augusta National Golf Club, home of The Masters tournament.

Final Rating: At the End of the Lane is a 16 out of 20
