Maybe you’re a little green around the gills after a few too many St. Patty’s Day Sláintes. Time for a little hair of the dog that bit you. That’s right, it’s beer me time again, but this dog is no light lager Lassie, what we have here is a 10% leave us reeling rottweiler!
It’s London calling, with the clash of a malt mash between a golden ale and an agave plant. Sammy’s going to take us “way down south where the big blue agave grow, a brew review of a Belgian from Mexico. Where you can drink the beer but don’t you eat the ice, it’s a 5 percenter but they did it twice! Hey, hey, Mas Dorado!” *
Yes, it’s a big bold ABV Belgian Mexican golden ale, definitely not the old man’s “make sure you’re holdin’ Golden”. It pours a deep dark Dorado** with an ever so slim head of white. A full on malty creamy alcohol infused aroma. Brace for impact. First taste is major malt lager sweet that goes right into a strong tequila boozy bite. This is one take no prisoners pint. Mas agave! Settling into a strong creamy malty boozer (the beer not me). Some sage advice just in thyme, have a salty snack at hand to balance the booziness.
It may not surprise you that this one is not a big swigger. Not a summertime by the pool refresher, but maybe a slow and steady at the end of a day that wasn’t your best day kinda quaff. I knew it would be malty, I just didn’t know it would be that malty. I knew it would be strong I just didn’t know it would be that strong. A one and done brew, if you want your one to be equal to two.
