A Trip Well Worth Taking

Good Trip

Cameron's Brewing

6.5% Alcohol

After a Mary Poppins porter (practically perfect in every way) can Cameron’s follow suit with another ace? They say this brew is “the perfect companion for any outdoor adventure”. Some Tom Cruise wannabe thrill seekers may be thinking of outdoor adventures like mountain climbing or white water rafting or hang gliding. For me an outdoor adventure is sitting on top of the boathouse or making a trip to the beer store. That for me is a good trip, just like this beer. Or as Cameron’s tell us “a trip worth taking.”  I would agree.

“What a drag it is getting old”.

In 1966 the Rolling Stones told us “What a drag it is getting old”.* Back then drugs were usually the cause of a bad trip and a possible overdose. At Mick and Keith’s advanced age** poor balance is probably the cause of a bad trip and a possible broken hip.

As for this trip, the adventure begins with a pretty pour, hazy golden orange with a creamsicle head. Great tropical juice and hops combo on the nose. The mouthfeel is watery. The taste is citrus and pineapple juice with bursting bitters for a very tasty one two punch of the spiked variety. The juicy hoppy medley  delivers much refreshingness.  Well balanced, no bad trips or broken hips. A most enjoyable hoppy juice fest.

*Editor’s Comment: The Jagger Richards’ song "Mother's Little Helper" was from the 1966 album Aftermath. The first line of the song is “What a drag it is getting old.” The song is about the widespread use of Valium and the dangers of an overdose. It seems ironic now (and probably then) that The Rolling Stones, and Richards in particular, are lecturing the public on the evils of drug use.

**Editor’s Comment: Mick Jagger is 81 and Keith Richards is 80.

Final Rating: This Good Trip's Final Destination is a 16 out of 20
