Lake on the Mountain makes some very good beers. But they don’t seem to be too widely distributed as I never see them in beer or liquor stores in Ontario. If you get to Prince Edward County though, it is well worth it to make a stop here. I tried their Cream Ale this time and found it really smooth and easy drinking. It would be great in the summer for sure – but it is December, so I will have to try it again in six months to verify. As my friend RS says, “Trust the taste, but verify”.
Since it is December and the back deck is under snow, I’m drinking this beer in the kitchen. Our cat is making noises about the injustice in the Universe* that allows me to have my beer while she has not been fed in at least 2 hours. I am not really buying her arguments, but she is persistent and as I am studying the artwork on the can and trying to ignore her, I notice this is a Cream Ale. Well this may not be a real news item, but it turns out cats don’t like all cream. So while cats may not be impressed, this beer is good.
