Strong blondes who rock.
Blondie, Billy Idol, Taylor Momsen, Madonna, Stevie Nicks, Sting, and Grace Potter. All strong blondes who rock. * Ok, I know, there is a lot of peroxide in the mix but it’s rock and roll, so anything goes. Now I’ll introduce you to another strong blonde that rocks, this Maibock from LTM. It’s rockin’ the house with a 6.8% kick ass set, but no peroxide in this crowd pleaser.
Les Trois Mousquetaires Microbrasserie out of Brossard PQ have whipped up a strong blonde lager to usher in the spring, a Maibock. New world hops to create an old-world flavour, this brew of all Québec grown ingredients is as Bavarian as lederhosen, boot shaped beer glasses, and Oktoberfest.
This one is not part of the backup band, it takes center stage with a dense muted golden pour and a slim trim platinum froth. Major malt and bread on the nose, it actually smells creamy. So no surprise that it has a full creamy mouthfeel with a malt bread body followed by lager sweet and an ale bite. The sweet retreats and the bite backs off, but as far as the creamy bready malt goes, the song remains the same. There is strength in numbers here, you can sense, and appreciate, the high ABV.
If you are looking for a traditional easy drinking lager a bock is probably not your go to, but for those that enjoy a middlin’ strong blonde that rocks, this bock is for you.
