After a few exotic tastings of peppermint and vanilla it was a highly anticipated and welcome return to an amber. We all know that absence makes the heart grow fonder*, so I was looking forward to this Full Beard amber ale, and I was not disappointed!
A nice amber pour with a thin white head, minimal bubbles. A nice malt aroma, a full earthy malt taste with a bit of roast, is that a touch of caramel I detect? Very good. Great full flavour. Smooth, no bitter, an easy drinking full flavour amber, the best of both worlds. This beer reminded me of how much I missed Amber. Great brew.
