Watching a battle of the birds, the Jays, and the Orioles. After our bird boys in blue tied it up early, the wheels fell off and the game was gone to the birds, the orange and black birds that is. Farmer Steve said “bad time for a slump”. Most days it’s a  bad day for a bad day, I say.

It’s a Black Bellows beer of the month club selection, Christmas in July! Yes, beer of the month club was a Christmas present from the missus, the old man said she was a keeper and he wasn’t lyin’.

The can reads “Bitte, bitte, bitte” which required a call out to the COMDB translation department. They responded immediately saying “Thank you, thank you, thank you.”. I thought they were expressing their gratitude for keeping them on the payroll, but no, that was their translation.

A bright, bright, bright pale golden hazy pour, with a white, white, white head. A fresh aroma of malt and crisp. First taste, wow that’s crisp, crisp, crisp. A very light body with a super crisp close.  Sharp on the tongue with hops and a floral finish. Very refreshing, with a touch of the biting bitters tagging along.  As advertised, a classic German style Pils from the fine femmes and fellows at Black Bellows.
