The two most dangerous Olympic sports.
I remember way back in the day, a few of us kids on the old cedar-strip toboggan*, aiming for that bump for a jump, flying off that thing and laughing our asses off. No sense and no feeling, at that age. But the luge! 140 kms per hour sounds kinda dangerous.** There are one and two person luge events at the Olympics, but a 3 man luge sounds like a severe shortage of personal space to me. Too close for comfort so to speak. One of those toes to toes nose in it, nose to nose toes in it situations. Maybe, just maybe, the 3rd man is an armchair participant? Cheering on the team and coaching from the couch, a role I believe I’m qualified for.
Another Refined Fool offering, and as we know at COMDB they aren’t fooling around when it comes to whipping up a tasty brewski. After all the Imperial IPAS, the strong stouts, the precocious pales and the pints of porters, sometimes you just want a beer. Case, or at least can, in point, this back-to-basics luge lager.
A golden clear pour, some bubbles contributing to a slim trim froth. A fresh malt aroma. It starts out as a classic and classy malt body with a touch of sweet fruit and a bit of a fizzy finish. I fully expected the fizz and fruit to fade. As expected, what evolved was a malt smooth lager with a slight sweet surfacing and a mildly crisp finish.
A great craft lager, down to earth, refreshing and tasty.
