Quick, it’s double time, a Double IPA from Willibald that is. The COMDB translation department took this challenge on with relish and other assorted condiments, during their lunch hour, most likely because their employment agreement stipulates being paid double time for working over lunch.
It appears that the word “Kuni” shows up in a number of languages. In Japanese it can signify “country”, in Estonian it means “until”. In Esperanto it means “to join”, and in Swahili it means “firewood”. In India there is a plant called Kuni. In Sanskrit it can mean a “cripple” or crippled. In Kannada it means to “play” or” jump”. In Tamil Kuni is a reference to an object endowed with good qualities which may well be the most accurate translation for this brew. Unfortunately, we could only afford ½ hour of their time at double time and are none the better for it.

What we do know is this double hopped up IPA is hopped with Freestyle peacharine. A peacharine is actually a fruit, a cross between a peach and a nectarine. Peacharine hops bring with them a mix of fruit embellishments. Perhaps this brew will be juicy? Perhaps.
This brew pours thick and yellow, a precursor of juice about to be cut loose. Hazy thick grapefruit yellow with a rind white head. Thick as a brick and hazy as a post binge recollection. Grapefruit citrus juice aroma, confirmation that there is juice in the house. And the juice is marching double time with this one. That’s a first juicy grapefruit peach tropical body with double bitters. Very tasty. The bitters start to relax a bit and what steps up is the full blown juice fest. Full mouthfeel, it’s a tropical citrus super tasty with a bit of funk on the finish double IPA. Loving it. High ABV but it doesn’t come acroos as boozy, the full mouthfeel makes for a smooth and tasty double.
A candidate for juiciest juicer of the year award, if such an award did exist. That’s one juicy brewski.
