Drunk Beer Naming Party Invite Please

Wag the Wolf

Beau's Brewing Co.

5% Alcohol

Wag the Wolf. What the hell does that mean? I think sometimes these breweries have drunk beer naming parties. I wish they would invite me to one. I have a couple of choice names in mind.

So as for the wolf beer, on the can it says it’s a white IPA. What the hell kind of beer is that? On the can it says organic barley, organic wheat, organic hops. Do I need to go to a health food store to buy this beer? On the can it says “contains natural sediment”, that sounds like there is some crap in my beer, gross. On the can it says’ bright with citrusy hops”, and I think to myself not another beer that tastes like Fresca, why do all these brewers have to stick fruit in a good beer?

But it is a Beau’s and the boys and girls at Beau’s usually do OK, and there is a tractor on the can like my old buddy Farmer Steve likes, so I figure I will give this beer the benefit of the doubt, and I was pleasantly surprised.  Lots of fruit in the flavour but the hoppiness works with the citrus for a nice refreshing summer beer.

*Editor's Comment: Perhaps the name is a play on the old idiom "the tail wagging the dog" although I am not entirely clear on the reference in this case.

Editor's Comment: Unlike in several dog breeds such as Huskies, heterochromia (different coloured eyes) is not a natural wolf trait.
